AIDS GAMES II PRESS CONFERENCE

Interviewing the talented musician/singer George Tandy Jr.

G’day to all you beautiful people!

Today was emotional. It’s been an emotional week for me in general but what I witnessed this morning not only put things in perspective but renewed my enthusiasm for my purpose on this Earth. I was invited by the beautiful Melissa “Honey Rose” Martinez to attend the AIDS GAMES II press conference in hopes of helping raise awareness about the HIV/AIDS epidemic in our community. Once I arrived at the Urban League of Greater Miami I was surrounded with beautiful young people who were there to help spread the word about the virus. I interviewed a victim of sex trafficking as well as beautiful woman who has been living with HIV for the past 20 years.

What was also impressive was the President of the organization Egypt Robinson X who is a strong, wonderfully honest leader for all the young men that were in attendance.

I was able to interview Egypt as well as a few of the other board members about the AIDS GAMES that will be taking place next year (athletic events, poetry, fashion shows, etc.) I will share the footage with you all soon. Remember, get tested. Know your status. AIDS sees no color, gender, sexual orientation or age. Wrap it up. Love yourself.
