#Live_Vivacious!

Part of the #Vivacious Team! So beautiful!

It’s not easy being a woman. It is especially not easy being a woman of integrity and substance in an area full of glorification for exactly the opposite. Where fake has become the new real and support/true loyalty are hard to find, it’s rare to find a group of women who stand in solidarity for true WOMANHOOD. This group isn’t about who has the latest red bottoms or designer purse (not that they are against these things, they just don’t flaunt material wealth) and they certainly wouldn’t DARE call another woman a “bad bitch.” Instead, this group promotes other entrepreneurial women that are trying to make a positive impact on society.
What I love about the Vivacious team are the women that started the movement. They’re feisty and professional. These strong women also seem to have a firm grasp on the kind of difference they want to make in society. Charitable donations will be made through the sale of the items on their site soon and women everywhere can be fashionable for a cause. A few local models, actresses and hosts have all jumped on board to give their time/face/voice to Vivacious by modeling apparel, sunglasses and swimwear on their website. I was honored to have been chosen to represent such a positive movement. The proceeds from the sale of the vintage sunglasses I modeled will directly benefit my charity and passion (Project Save Imagination, of course.)
Owning your sexuality is beeeeautiful, natural and powerful…..making your sexuality the ONLY thing you have going for you is not quite as powerful. Women are amazing. We are the bearers of life. We withstand unimaginable pain. Our power lies in our amazing femininity. Imagine that incredible feminine power combined and the amazing impact we could make on society?

It’s a movement. #LiveVivacious

A SUCCESSFUL EVENT! Fusion Rocked – literally!

Wow! It has been a minute since I have been able to update my blog because I was absolutely crazy trying to put together our Project Save Imagination Art Basel FUSION event. From arranging PR, musical acts, lighting, staging, fundraising, volunteer coordination, getting items donated for auction, arranging celeb hotel rooms and flights and still working full time jobs and being full time mothers, Lila Nikole and I had our hands full!

The event took place on December 6th and we had an amazing turnout. Our hosts were Claudia Jordan, Lorenzo Thomas and Anchal Joseph. We had stunning artwork by Maicol Diaz, Trek 6, Jenny Perez and Laurence Gartel. Our dynamic fashion show was INCREDIBLE and during the entire event we had musical performances by Talib Kweli, Urban Mystic, Mobius 8, DJ Bonnie Beats, DJ Epps, and DJ Rob Dinero.

All proceeds to benefit Art Studio Miami! Thanks so much for our sponsors Sobe Ent, Rush Sounds, City Never Sleeps, 2 Girls and a Cupcake, Nuvo and more!!!

The B-Side Lounge with Ingrid B and Mark G

Last night was hilarious. If you missed The B-Side Lounge, I was honored to be a special guest for their “Addicted to My Grind” segment. The soulful, honest dialogue was amazing. Their radio show has the best music around. From poetry to Raheem Devaughn, it was enough to keep you in a mellow mood but will still give you enough energy to keep the sexy party going. If you love underground hip hop or soul music and want to learn about independent artists, this is the place to log into. Ingrid B is witty and very organic in her message. A beautiful soul, she carries the dialogue well and Mark G. is the perfect man to complememt to her humor and balance out all the estrogen! Every Sunday night from 8-10 tune into to MOCradio.com and look for “The B-Side Lounge”

Mercedes Benz Swim Week Events!

Miami!

The long awaited swim shows were upon us this past week all around South Beach. If you were as fortunate as I was, you were treated to the sights of slim models walking the prestigious runways for well known designers mixed with the house beats and sounds of both local and national DJs.

I partnered with Planet Pit to bring coverage to my dear friend Lila Nikole’s new Electrika swimwear collection debut at Bamboo Nightclub Friday night. It was simply stated: AMAZING. The stage at Bamboo does things I cant really explain and her entire collection is just waiting to join her other suits in my closet and on my body at the beach.

ALUNA SWIMWEAR POOL PARTY

On Saturday I attended Aluna Swimwear’s event and it was definitely a party enjoyed by all! I did a few interviews and got to preview her new Argan line and it was quite amazing. The models were sexy and so was the vibe of the party. Many celebs were in attendance and the poolside fashion show had men’s eyeballs popping out!

“Fueled by Love…Not Very Logical”

I tried Aura Photography a few months ago at Bagua in the Design District and as I was looking through my desk I saw the picture they gave me with the colors floating around my head.

Going into it, I was skeptical that a camera could pick up colors around my head. I have always known that people can see auras but wasn’t too convinced technology could. I’m still not sure if it was the psychic reading those things about me and programming her camera to reflect them into the image or what. Either way, once I saw the picture full of purples, pinks and a little orange with magentas evenly balanced around my head I was impressed. Not because the colors existed, but because they were so on point with the description of me:

She said the colors that appeared meant that I’m loving, my decisions are fueled by love, I’m not very logical, I have a psychic intuition, I’m a creator, I get things done and I make a difference in the world!

Say "Cheese!"

I liked that description a lot and it made a lot of sense. I’m so sensitive and so driven by love that I always make decisions based off of that love and sometimes my decisions are not always very logical. Ah well.

If you are interested in Aura Photography in Miami, I suggest you call Atena Komar 305-297-5516 or go to her website mysticalflorida.com.

In Touch Magazine Spread- Behind the Scenes

Hello lovelies!

I had the pleasure of working with photographer Cheyenne Ellis and an awesome team for a four page magazine spread for Daymond John, the creative fashion genius behind FUBU clothing line. Daymond can also be found starring in the Reality TV series “Shark Tank.” The critically acclaimed Shark Tank gives budding entrepreneurs the chance to make their dreams come true, and possibly make a business deal that will make them a millionaire. Daymond John is one of the investors on the show.

“Known as the “Godfather of Urban Fashion,” Daymond is regarded as one of the most sought-after branding experts and keynote speakers in fashion and business today. With multiple business ventures on his resume, Daymond can be seen sharing his knowledge and business genius on numerous business and entertainment television programs.” – (Shark Tank website)

We also had the pleasure of having Lil Jon on set and in the photos. “Yeaaaaaah!” He kept EVERYONE laughing hysterically.

All smiles for the good times shared. I posted some behind the scene photos.

Peace and Love,

Aisha Thalia

Emerge 2 Trade Show..Hosted by Yours Truly

The long wait it finally over! If you missed the Emerge Trade Show you can now see for yourself exactly what went down. From talented designers to sexy models strutting their stuff in the clothes and swimwear, Emerge 2 had a lot to offer everyone in attendance. Taking place at Zadok Art Gallery in the Wynwood District, Emerge 2 was a great success. Special, special, special thanks to Unique Photography and Design and Film team for putting the video together and filming every awesome moment.

Sidenote: The slight issue with sound quality was a technical problem with the venue that was not in Unique Photography and Design’s control. Nonetheless, it turned out GREAT!
